Noosa's best cafés, restaurants and bars / A foodie guide

It's time to explore what other cities have to offer. This time, we're heading to the beautiful coastal town of Noosa Heads in Queensland's Sunshine Coast!

This guide will break down the best cafés, restaurants and bars to visit along Hastings Street. So, if you're heading up to the Sunshine State this summer, you don't want to miss out on these hot spots.

Cafés & Health Bars

1. Blended Health Bar

Living up to its name, Blended Health Bar serves up the best in healthy food - think cold pressed juices, insta-worthy acai bowls (you just have to look at the pic above to see what we're talking about), and tasty smoothie bowls. They're the perfect morning pick-me-up! Acai not your thing? For the coffee lovers out there, Blended does a great job of curating the perfect cup.

2. Coconut Head Superfood Bar

Start your day off right by hopping on the health train, straight to Coconut Head Superfood Bar! Serving smoothie bowls packed with local produce; dairy-free raw cakes (yes, they're a thing); and vegan soft serve Coco Whip, this is exactly what you need to fuel your body before jumping into the crystal clear waters of Noosa Main Beach.

P.s. They also do amazing poké bowls for lunch!

3. Aromas

Looking for a classic Big Breakfast? Then Aromas is the way to go. Serving everything from eggs benedict to smashed avo on toast, this is the spot to visit if you're looking for a hearty brekky meal. They also do a pretty neat fresh juice!

4. 10 Hastings St Cafe

10 Hastings St isn't just an address, it's a way of life for holiday-goers in Noosa Heads. Restaurants

1. Bistro C

Bistro C is arguably one of the best restaurants along Hastings St. From its stunning beachfront locale to its award-winning menu, this restaurant has it all. Perfecting the relaxed seaside dining experience, Bistro C's open air layout and Hamptons-style décor tie in well with the locally caught seafood and fresh produce on offer. Not to be missed is the Fresh Local Seafood Spaghetti - order a 'pan for one' to enjoy it yourself, or a 'pan for two' if you're in the sharing mood. The Balinese Duck Leg is also a must-try - paired with coconut and lychee, it is packed with flavour.

2. Season

Season Restaurant & Bar will truly never go out of season. A Hastings St staple for many years, this restaurant should be at the top of your bucket list. Only a few steps away from the sandy shores of Noosa Main Beach, this is a prime location for an evening meal. Dine on local seafood while taking in the beautiful water views. Not sure what to try on the menu? We recommend the Local Seafood Yellow Curry paired with bamboo shoots, snow peas, Thai basil and lemongrass rice. It's absolutely delicious.

3. MakiMoto

Covering everything from your sushi to your sashimi, MakiMoto is one of the best spots for Japanese food in Noosa Heads. With trendy decor and flavoursome dishes, you will want to visit again and again. Lucky for you, they are open for both lunch AND dinner, so you can pop in at either time to get your fix.

4. Locale

Locale is the perfect locale in Noosa for a tasty Italian feed. Situated in a quiet corner of Hastings St and surrounded by lush greenery, this restaurant is a trendy hideaway for holiday-goers. The black décor and dim lighting make for a mysterious feel which is definitely more 'city' than 'coastal', but with a mouth-watering selection of meals and a cocktail list too impressive to pass up (we'll have a 'Sunrise in Cancún', thanks!) you'll be sad to miss this spot.

Where: 62 Hastings St, Noosa Heads QLD

5. Ricky's River Bar & Restaurant

Ok, so this restaurant technically isn't on Hastings St, but it's too good to leave out! Just a short drive from the hustle and bustle of Hastings, Ricky's is another restaurant you need to visit. Situated along Noosa River, you can enjoy stellar river views while feasting on the best local seafood the Sunshine Coast has to offer.

Where: 2 Quamby Pl, Noosa Heads QLD

6. Betty's Burgers

Burgers and ice-cream? Yes please!

Where better to have a Betty's burger than in the place it all started - Hastings St, Noosa! Although Betty's has expanded throughout Australia, there is nothing quite like the original. The perfect location for lunch after a long morning at the beach, or even for a casual dinner meal, Betty's has got you covered.

Bars

1. Sofitel Noosa Beach House Bar

The Sofitel Bar is one of the most popular bars in Noosa Heads. Situated at the heart of Hastings St, it is the ideal spot to take in the last of the afternoon sun while people-watching with a Pina Colada in hand (a 10/10 choice from the cocktail list, if you ask us). Stop by in the early evening for relaxing pre-dinner drinks. It's the perfect way to start off your night.

Where: 14-16 Hastings St, Noosa Heads QLD

2. Miss Moneypenny's
Miss Moneypenny's is not only a great restaurant, but also a fantastic bar. With so many unique and interesting cocktails to choose from, you will be spoilt for choice. Maybe it's the Voodoo Zombie that peaks your interest, or maybe it's the Botanical Smash. How about the Funk Rum Swizzle? Covering the weird, wacky and wonderful, you are sure to find something that tickles your fancy.

3. Cafe Le Monde
Cafe Le Monde is a great spot for breakfast, lunch, dinner AND drinks. Talk about versatile! With live gigs almost every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night throughout summer, you can kick back with an Aperol Spritz and take in the relaxing vibes.
