You heard that right! There’s a bar in Sydney serving up popping pearl cocktails. Um, amazing! Where?
We can spill the deets right now, but it’s a lot more fun to play a little guessing game. So take a guess! Ok, we’ll give you a hint: You can find these cocktails at a playful, Japanese-themed bar in one of Sydney’s hottest suburbs.
Got it yet? We’ll give you another second.
Alright...
It’s the one and only Goros in Surry Hills! One of Sydney’s trendiest night-time spots. From the delicious Japanese street food on offer, to the plethora of arcade games and karaoke booths filling the space, Goros covers everything from the fun and playful to the edgy and electric (you can thank the bar’s dim lighting and trendy neon signs for that). Sake is also in abundance here, as is delicious gyoza. It’s a taste of Japan, right at your doorstep.
So back to the drink of the moment - each of the popping pearl cocktails aka ‘Puppu’ are named after Pokemon and are inspired in colour and flavour by that Pokemon’s colour - how cute!
The ‘Charmander’, a mango-vanilla flavoured cocktail, complete with orange popping pearls is inspired by the fire-type Pokemon. It is so delicious, you will be 'burning' to try it. The ‘Bulbasaur’ is another delicious concoction, mixing together Yoshinogawa karakuchi, vodka, vanilla syrup and matcha powder to pay homage to the green character. This ain't like your regular bubble tea! The ‘Jigglypuff’ is as sweet as ever, just like the cute, pink Pokemon. Complete with strawberry liqueur, watermelon juice and pink popping pearls, it is the perfect choice to satisfy your sweet tooth. Last but not least, you can't miss the ‘Mewtwo’. Infused with grape soda, and finished with purple popping pearls, it's a real treat.
Visiting Goros is a whole experience, with every element coming together to create the perfect storm. Delicious Japanese food, amazing cocktails, trendy decor and an abundance of fun activities to try your hand at, all link up to offer you a night of fun and adventure. It’s the perfect mix which will draw you in time after time. Head in this weekend to have this electric experience yourself (oh, and to try the cocktails!). You can thank us later.
